I was not planning on posting another blog for a good few days on here, but something came up that I figured would be a good subject. One of my old friends from college asked me this morning what is the point in blogging on the internet? His argument was that telling people what you did in a day is not interesting, in his very words "Why would someone want to know why you bought a chicken sandwich and took the bus home?"... I could have responded by telling him that is not a basis for a good argument, but I decided for the sake of it, I would give a half decent back anyway. I look at people who blog on the internet not as attention seeking nerds as he seemed to make them out to be, but as people who want to get other people involved in their lives and engage with new people. I mean apart from making new friends and sharing your experiences, you gain valuable advice and life experiences from it as well. But I am not going to rant forever about this because everyone has their own opinion.
I guess in other news, it is Sunday night, and I as said in my previous blog, today has been better than the previous few days. I was gutted that I could not make the Bath YouTube gathering because the connected train I would have got to Sheffield was cancelled due to something happening on the track, but I think I will live. Speaking of that video sharing website, I have been encouraged by a few people to interact with the community on there more and make more friends. This seems like a good idea theoretically, but saying "Hey, you are cool, be my friend :D" does not appeal to me lol, I like the process of getting to know people properly. Ah well, I need something to keep me occupied on my two weeks off work I guess, so I might give it a go.
Well anyway, time to go and listen to some They Might Be Giants and play Halo 3 over X-Box Live, because I am cool like that... lol.

One of those weeks...
Hmm... There is a first time for everything, in this case, my first attempt at ranting in a blog. Ever since this week started I could tell it was going to be "one of those weeks". This basically means that it is a week in which life drags at a mind numbingly slow rate and you have nothing productive to do at all. I mean come on, someone who is 19, has some fantastic friends, quite a few different forms of entertainment mediums at his disposal and a knack for writing should be able to find something to do right? No. That is the simple answer. The highlight of the week thus far was going into the town to buy some bread I could have bought a lot closer to home, just took the extra trip for something to do. Shopping for bread, somehow I doubt it will be added to the Olympic committee’s list of new sports anytime soon, but I digress.
But apparently it is not just me who wishes this week would buzz off and a new more exiting week would come along. I have spoken to no less than three other people who each rate this week as being the most dull so far this year. Reading other people's blogs on here also seem to confirm this, worries from Uni troubles to money gripes, it all seems to be coming to a head this week. But you never know, something amazing may happen between now and Sunday evening, like winning the lottery or finding out I am related to the Queen or something (that would be funny). But as most people have been saying about this epic week of fail, chin up and shut up lol, because at the end of the day it could be a damn sight worse. Yes, yes it could, but it's bad enough now thank you! Lol, anyway, griping aside, life is good besides the staggering lack of activities. Perhaps I should start practising the keyboard or something...
See you for now folks!
Dave.
